The Perfect Spot in Rome

  •  5 of 5

Our group included nine people from the age of 9 to the age of 78 and we spent three nights in June at the Palace Residence. It was perfect for all of us. Its location allows the visitors to really have the experience of living in Rome as the romans do; surrounded by all the necessities of daily life and yet steps from all that the historic center of Rome has to offer. The kitchen has everything you could need; we cooked for ourselves and ate on the roof terrace one evening and it couldn't have been lovelier. The fact that the house has an elevator made it easy to manage luggage and to get from the front door to the third floor, even for the oldest members of our group. We can't wait to go back! It's our new home away from home in Rome.

My wonderful Roman holiday

  •  5 of 5

Staying in this home was magical!

The rooms and in particular the bedrooms are decorated beautifully - we thought we were in a movie. Everything from start to finish made us all feel like V.I.P's. Lucas, the help, was invaluable - all we had to do was make a list of what we needed from the supermarket and within a short time everything was laid out in the kitchen It was so helpful that Jill sent us a list of all the foods and drinks which could be ordered in advance of our arrival.

There was a plethora of terrific bars and restaurants around the house and everyone soon discovered their favourite place for people watching. The location is unique,a short walk to piazza Navona,so many artisans and antique shops, boutiques, all right there!

Jill, thank you. We will return!

A wonderful stay

Pure perfection. This home was so gorgeous and the interior amazing. We tend to stay in apartments or homes when we travel around the world finding even the most luxurious hotels sterile and lacking in the atmosphere and personality… here we found the ultimate in both.  Jill arranged everything down to the sumptuous welcome basket full of Roman delicacies. Luca was so helpful and on several occasions did our shopping at the supermarket so that we could continue with our walking tours. We felt completely spoiled and it is our plan to return the year after next for Easter – supposedly the peak season for visiting Rome.  Peak or otherwise this wonderful place was a luxurious retreat for us in the heart of the best part of town.

Absolute perfection!

This was a truly fabulous holiday for us. We loved the atmosphere of this palacial home and knew we had made the right decision booking this for our ten days in Rome. In fact when we began our search for a four bedroom apartment or house in Rome we soon realized that this was one of the few places which could accommodate 8 people. It was clear that no one wanted to have to sleep on a sofa or fold up bed and that's about all we could find until we came across the Residence. The previous reviews were glowing and the idea of a chef coming to prepare a lunch on the terrace fit the bill. It was also good to be able to talk through our needs with Jill on the phone. She gave us a number of vital tips... Not least the recommendation of the gelateria del Teatro - where we ended up spending most of our time in between marathon walking tours. Any excuse to try another flavor of their ice cream! We rate this place the tops and want to come back in a year or two to revisit and learn Italian - any excuse to cone back to our "home" in Rome!
